What is STILLMix?
    Team STILLMix is a group of 7 juniors and seniors at Johns Hopkins University who submitted a proposal to conduct a microgravity research project. The experiment was done on NASA’s KC-135 aircraft, which simulates microgravity for periods as long as 23 seconds by diving steeply downwards.

    STILLMix stands for Surface Tension Impelled Low-gravity Liquid Mixing Experiment. The experiment involved looking at the mixing of liquids in reduced-gravity environments, for applications on spacecraft. Our final report is available in PDF form here

In memory of the crew of STS-107, the STILLMix team is staying on course, and continuing the work we set out to do. To further science and space exploration we will be the best we can be, and in doing so honor their legacy.
