Student Design Projects
Design projects that address important and hard-to-solve engineering problems are an integral part of academic experience in the departments of Biomedical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering and provide industry with access to the new technologies they need to remain competitive. Freshman Britni Lonesome began working in the lab of Associate Professor Justin Hanes when she was still in high school. There, she's helping develop a new drug delivery system that could someday reduce tuberculosis deaths in impoverished nations.
